Financial Aid

APYSL believes all players should have the opportunity to play a sport they love at a level equal to their ability.  We have a number of scholarship opportunities for players who are interested in competitive soccer, but cannot afford the APYSL fees.

The Kelsey Kittleson Memorial scholarship is offered every November/December. It awards the cost of one winter competitive soccer registration to a U10 or U12 player who exemplifies the characteristics Kelsey embodied both on and off the soccer field.  Interested applicants must complete several short answer questions.  All applications are reviewed by a committee, and the scholarship is typically awarded as a reimbursement to the family’s account.

The Jim O'Brien Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to one competitive player for winter session (Nov-Apr) and covers APYSL fees only. Eligibility criteria is financial need as determined by families approaching the league and/or coaches/administrators made aware of the need. If more than one candidate is presented, multiple scholarships or partial scholarships may be awarded.
